Join us for our illustrious Fine Netsuke & Sagemono autumn sale this November, spread across two thrilling sessions, each accompanied by its dedicated catalog.
Session 1 will feature a selection of Fine Inro (lots 1-62). Gracing the cover of the Session 1 catalog is lot 30: a masterful and rare inlaid two-case inro depicting the yokai box from the Shitakiri Suzume, with en suite netsuke and ojime, the netsuke by Ohara Mitsuhiro. With 62 exceptionally fine inro pieces, this is the first time we unveil a dedicated catalog for fine inro.
Session 2 is dedicated to a carefully curated selection of Fine Netsuke and Sagemono (lots 101-362) with a focus on netsuke, ojime & kiseruzutsu. Gracing the cover of the Session 1 catalog is lot 119: an important and exceedingly rare wood netsuke of a hakutaku, hailing from the ex-collections of Betty Jahss and Joe Kurstin. Additional highlights of this sale includes a superb and very large wood netsuke of Tekkai Sennin (lot 121), a rare and superb wood sashi netsuke of Fukurokuju getting a shave (lot 224), and a large Osaka school inlaid wood netsuke of Gama Sennin (lot 169).
