China, ca. 1880-1950. The censer and cover show impressive relief carving, the thick walls with a dragon motif on one side and a four-character inscription on the other, flanked by reticulated dragon handles, the spreading foot carved with stylized lotus petals as well as three linghzi handles suspending loose rings. The translucent stone of a pale green tone with splashes of russet, bright green, and black.
Inscriptions: To the vessel, ‘Er long xi zhu’ (two dragons playing with the pearl).
Provenance: Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 16 November 1989, lot 784, bought-in at an estimate of HKD 100,000-150,000 (approx. HKD 288,000-432,000 today after inflation). Swiss private collection, acquired from the above in an after-sale transaction. Austrian private collection, acquired from the above.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and few minuscule nicks here and there. The wood base with small losses and extensive traces of wear and use.

If you try to place a bid that is higher than €500, you will not be able to do so.
