Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with a double vajra, his right hand extended, the left hand raised in abhaya mudra with al lotus bud growing from the arm, clad in a long dhoti finely incised with foliate scrolls and a sash with a similar foliate design draped over his left shoulder. His body is further adorned by a beaded necklace, bracelets, and armlets, his face in a benign expression, an urna centered above his eyebrows, flanked by elongated earlobes suspending large floral earrings, the hair pulled into a tiered chignon and secured behind a crown.
Condition: Good condition with old wear, nicks, scratches, small dents, remnants of red pigment, casting flaws, soldering marks to the midsection of the base, ancient metal fills, and the back drilled with two apertures.

Padmapani Lokeshvara, also called Padmapani (The Lotus-Bearer), symbolizes great compassion and mercy and embodies the essence of the Bodhisattva ideal. He is a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Padmapani is often depicted with a lotus that blooms above his shoulder, serving to invoke the purity of Buddhist thought.
