The dustpan of lobed form and roiro ground with a flat base and everted rim to catch crumbs, finely decorated with iro-e hiramaki-e and takamaki-e, depicting a samurai in a dynamic pose with arrows scattered around him as he defends himself from two bowmen in orange. The S-shaped brush similarly decorated with two boys sitting under a pine tree playing with a tortoise in a box.
LENGTH 22 cm (dustpan), 31 cm (brush)
Condition: Good condition with minor wear. Some flaking to lacquer, tiny chips along the edges, and a few scratches.
