A LOPBURI REVIVAL BRONZE OF BUDDHA MARAVIJAYA WITH MANDORLA
Lot 1495 - AK0126
Thailand, Rattanakosin Kingdom (1782-1932). The Buddha is shown seated in Sattvaparyanka before an elaborate mandorla, making the gesture of taking earth as witness, Bhumisparsamudra. His face with a contemplative expression with heavy-lidded downcast eyes, and full lips. The hair is arranged in conical chignon behind a five-pointed crown. The mandorla is richly adorned with floral and foliate motifs.
Provenance: German Trade. Acquired from a private collection.
Condition: Good condition with wear, small nicks, minor losses to exposed areas, and slight dents. The patina is naturally grown, with areas of pale malachite appearing here and there.

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
