A LOT WITH TWO PORCELAIN DISHES, REPUBLIC PERIOD
Lot 963 - AK0125
China, 1912-1949. The first a dish with shallow rounded sides rising from a short, tapered foot to a gently everted rim, covered overall with a thin bright yellow glaze, the underside with a manufacturer mark in iron red. The second modeled as a lotus leaf, the shallow rounded sides rising to a lobed rim, the interior with two crabs in high relief, the sky-blue glaze flows into the neatly incised recesses, accentuating the design with a subtle contrast that cleverly highlights the crisp details.
Provenance: Private collection in Paris. UK private collection, acquired from the above.
Condition: Good condition with minor firing irregularities. The yellow dish in very good condition. The blue dish with a repaired chip to the upper rim.
Weight: 141 g in total

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
