The handle is cast as a four-pronged vajra, featuring a central knop adorned with four Buddha heads and further embellished with bands of incised lotus petals. Four arched vajra prongs and a central blade-like prong rise from the jaws of stylized makara heads, culminating in a pointed finial. The bell is richly cast with dense, small scrolling clouds and auspicious symbols, and is encircled by a band of lotus petals inscribed with Tibetan calligraphy, as well as a further band of Tibetan script above the rim.
HEIGHT 33.5 cm
Condition: Two individual pieces are joined together. Otherwise good condition with minor wear and typical flaws to the material.
