KOKAIDO: A KUTANI PORCELAIN RING-HANDLED VASE, MEIJI

The baluster sides rising from a short foot to a waisted neck with flared curving rim, applied with a pair of loop handles, each suspending a ring. The exterior finely painted in gilt and bright enamels with two pairs of phoenixes enclosing a blooming tree to one side and a red-hooded crane below a pine tree on the other. With further gilt and iron-red ornamental bands above the foot and below the lip. Signed to the base KOKAIDO.
Condition: Overall good condition with wear, abrasions to gilt, and firing flaws such as dark spots and pitting. The foot and mouth rim each with a chip.
Provenance: Danish private collection, acquired at Bruun Rasmussen on 11 August 2011, lot 1132.

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
