AN UNUSUALLY LARGE AND MASSIVE (15.9 KG) LIANGZHU-STYLE FOUR-TIERED YELLOW-RUSSET JADE CONG

China. Of triangular cross-section with softly rounded corners, centered by a circular aperture. Each corner finely incised with a pair of taotie masks, each below delicate linear decoration with geometric patterns. The sides further embellished with confronting bird profiles, centered by motifs derived from a comb handle and a trident-shaped plaque. The opaque stone of a pale-yellow tone, altered to a vivid rust-red, transitioning to creamy orange in some areas and to mottled chalky white and ochre hues in others.
Provenance: A private collection in Germany.
Condition: Very good condition, commensurate with age, with surface wear and natural age-related imperfections, including fissures and inclusions. Minor nibbling and minute losses along the edges, as is to be expected.

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
