Of upright rectangular form with oval section, the brown lacquered ground decorated in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e, depicting gourd vines growing from rockwork and a fence on a mura-nashiji ground, the gourds inlaid in coral, metal and stained bone.
With a small double gourd shaped ojime carved from antler.
HEIGHT 5.1 cm, LENGTH 3.6 cm
Condition: Some general wear, a section of the inro with touchups to the lacquer, nibbling along the edges, and few minor bruises. Overall good condition and presenting well.
