Of rounded rectangular form, the roiro ground is finely decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e and e-nashiji, depicting a dragon coiled amid scrolling clouds, with the design continuing onto the reverse. The interiors are finished in nashiji with gold fundame edges. Accompanied by a carved ojime and an associated antler netsuke carved as Shoki holding his sword.
HEIGHT 6.7 cm (the inro), and 7.5 cm (the netsuke)
Condition: The inro has a few shallow chips around the cord holes and some losses to the cord runners but is otherwise in good condition with minor wear. The netsuke shows extensive wear and has an old, smoothed chip on one foot.
