The tonkotsu (tobacco container) finely inlaid in aogai, wood, bone, metal and coral to depict a basket, clams, and a sickle, the reverse with a leafy branch bearing two peaches and a flying insect, the wood of attractive grain and color. The cover with two bone-ringed cord holes. Signed to one side in a bone plaque DOSHO. With a carved bamboo ojime.
The kiseruzutsu (pipecase), of senryu-zutsu type, carved from a section of bamboo. The pipe (kiseru) made of silvered metal and bamboo, the metal with geometric decoration.
LENGTH 23 cm and 10 cm
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, typical natural flaws and nibbling to edges, few age cracks, and some surface scratches.
