Japan, 18th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
Of upright rectangular shape, bearing a silver lacquer ground, decorated with gold, red and black takamaki-e and hiramaki-e. The design depicts two cranes standing on a rocky landscape near a river. On the reverse, another crane stands on a rock, embellished with kirigane flakes, while two additional cranes are shown flying above. The interior cases of nashiji with gold fundame rims.
With a signed kagamibuta netsuke in wood and shibuichi decorated with hirazogan and takazogan ducks swimming near a torii, mountains visible in the background.
LENGTH 5.2 cm, HEIGHT 7.2 cm
Condition: Good condition with age-related wear and typical traces of use, particularly along the edges.
Provenance: Ader, Collection d’Inro de Madame G. R., 20 June 2012, Paris, lot 42. French private collection, acquired from the above.

The main points include the following:
- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
