Lot details

Tibet, late 19th to 20th century. This set includes six Tibetan ritual objects, each intricately crafted.

A Kapala (Skull Cup) in imitation of real bone, decorated with ornate white metal mounts featuring skull designs and auspicious symbols.

An eight-pronged Vajra with a central compressed globular grip flanked by biconical sections with petals, supporting a central column surrounded by eight arched vajra points.

A multi-strand necklace composed of blue glass beads and suspending a round brass plaque with incised scrolling decoration.

A cylindrical bronze lock, the top cast as a caparisoned elephant.

A leather flint pouch fitted to one side with a flap, mounted to the corners with white metal fittings chased with a recumbent animal. Fitted to the lower edge with a curved iron blade, and the top with a suspension fitting.

A pair of engraved Tingsha Bells (hand cymbals).

Condition: Very good condition with usual traces of use and wear.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.

  • Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
  • A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
  • A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
