A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BRUSHPOT, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912)

China, possibly 18th century or later, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The bitong of cylindrical form, the exterior covered in underglaze blue save for three reserves delicately enameled in green, yellow, aubergine, and with iron-red. One squared-shaped reserve depicting a man on horseback in an outdoor setting, another is fan-shaped and comprises a bird perched on a flowering branch, and the last a circular reserve with bamboo and other flowers. The base with a circular unglazed section.
Condition: Broken in several pieces and reglued. Presenting well.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
