The bowl with rounded sides, finely painted in polychrome enamels and with gilt, brown, and iron-red accents, depicting three Dutchmen in a garden, one carrying a duck in his raised arm, the other two looking at a script. The interior painted in underglaze blue at the well with a lotus spray enclosed by double lines.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, a hairline across one side with minor associated losses, light surface scratches, and firing flaws including dark spots, pitting, and open bubbles.
