China. Finely carved in openwork as lotus leaves and pods borne on intertwined stems forming the natural cord-holes for the pendant, a longhorn beetle clambering up the larger pod. The translucent stone is of a near-white to very pale celadon tone with few russet inclusions.
Provenance: English private collection. A noted Hungarian private collection, acquired from the above.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and few microscopic nicks with associated old fills. Please request our video, shot under strong blue light, that reveals these microscopic fills which are invisible to the naked eye.
