A DAMASK SILK ‘PARADISE BIRDS’ INFORMAL LADY’S ROBE, CHANGYI, QING DYNASTY
清代提花藍地鳥紋氅衣

China, late 19th century. The robe of dark blue ground with medallions depicting dragons, bats, and double gourds, embroidered in satin stitch and gold brocade with phoenix and paradise birds, decorated with a floral hem and a butterfly band, the sleeves depicting a figural scene, flowers, and a scholar’s rock on creamy white silk. The interior padded with pale blue silk, with five old gilt buttons.
Provenance: French trade.
Condition: Commensurate with age, the hems with minor losses, loose threads, few tears and splits, the colors still fresh.

品相：下襬有輕微的缺損，線頭鬆散，輕微裂痕，顏色依舊。

Once you have pre-registered for a live online auction, you can see your intended spend and bid limit by going to 'Account Settings' and clicking on 'Live Bidding Registrations'.
Your bid limit will be the maximum amount you can bid during the auction. Your bid limit is for the hammer price and is not affected by the buyer’s premium and VAT. For example, if you have a bid limit of €1,000 and place two winning bids for €300 and €200, then you will only be able to bid €500 for the rest of the auction. If you try to place a bid that is higher than €500, you will not be able to do so.
