A SMALL LONGQUAN CELADON CENSER, SONG TO YUAN DYNASTY

China, 960-1368. the compressed globular body rising to a wide flared neck, set at the shoulders with a pair of stylized dragon-fish handles, applied inside and out with a rich olive-green glaze, the foot ring left unglazed to reveal the buff gray ware, partially burnt to orange in the firing.
Provenance: From a private collection in Arkansas, United States.
Condition: Overall fair condition, commensurate with age. Some wear and expected firing flaws. The rim and one handle with an old repair and associated touch-ups, the other handle with small flakes to the glaze, the rim with tiny hairlines, a minuscule chip to the foot.

Your bid limit will be the maximum amount you can bid during the auction. Your bid limit is for the hammer price and is not affected by the buyer’s premium and VAT. For example, if you have a bid limit of €1,000 and place two winning bids for €300 and €200, then you will only be able to bid €500 for the rest of the auction. If you try to place a bid that is higher than €500, you will not be able to do so.
