A RARE GILT-BRONZE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL CUP, QING DYNASTY
清代罕見鎏金銅銅胎掐絲琺琅螭龍耳杯

China, 1760-1820. The deep rounded sides supported on a straight foot, flanked by two gilt-bronze chilong handles, the exterior finely decorated in bright enamels with lotus sprays against a wan design on a Jingtai-blue ground, the interior and foot with turquoise grounds. With a ruyi-head band below the rim and a scroll band to the foot.
Provenance: UK trade, by repute from an old English private collection and previously acquired from Woolley & Wallis.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing flaws, including expected pitting. Minor warpings, small dents, and minuscule losses.

Once you have pre-registered for a live online auction, you can see your intended spend and bid limit by going to 'Account Settings' and clicking on 'Live Bidding Registrations'.
Your bid limit will be the maximum amount you can bid during the auction. Your bid limit is for the hammer price and is not affected by the buyer’s premium and VAT. For example, if you have a bid limit of €1,000 and place two winning bids for €300 and €200, then you will only be able to bid €500 for the rest of the auction. If you try to place a bid that is higher than €500, you will not be able to do so.
