Takamura Toyochika (1890–1972) was a Japanese metal artist and the son of sculptor Takamura Kōun and younger brother of Takamura Kōtarō. He studied under Tsuda Shinobu from 1908 and graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1915. Active in major exhibitions such as Teiten, he received numerous awards and was designated a Living National Treasure in 1964 for his mastery of lost-wax metal casting. He co-founded the craft group Mukei in 1926 and was among the artists who successfully lobbied for the inclusion of crafts in the Teiten exhibitions, winning top prizes at the first craft-inclusive Teiten in 1927. In the 1920s he explored Constructivist aesthetics, and in 1935 co-founded the Real Craft Art Association, which embraced functionalist Bauhaus ideals.
