TWO QING DYNASTY FOOTED BOWLS WITH FLORAL DECORATIONS

China, Song (960-1279) to early Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing dynasty (1644-1912)

The larger bowl has an olive-green glaze with the red color of the biscuit showing in many areas. The relief carved on the interior of the bowl, showing flowers and foliage, is characteristic of the Song dynasty. The rather thick lip of this bowl is unglazed and has a reddish color. The artist carved into the foot in several areas. The smaller bowl is also crafted in a style typical of the Song dynasty, with a white glaze and floral decorations.
