This serene sculpture of a deer, proportionate and with exact antlers, is a showcase for bronzes of the Kondh tribe. Characteristic ‘wire mesh pattern’, well-rounded and very expressive. Deer were one of the most important game for the tribe, were important for their survival and the artists of the Kondh, who cast the bronzes, visibly had a large amount of respect for the animal.
