A finely carved and attractively stained okimono of a Chinese boy holding a puppy with finely carved fur and a charming expression. The karako’s garments are ornately decorated with intricate patterns and the boy’s facial expression is quite amusing with raised eyebrows and the tongue sticking outwards.
