A LUDUAN BRONZE CENSER, MING
China, 1368-1644. The bronze vessel with a pierced and removable lid, where the incense is inserted, the smoke then dramatically escaping through the luduan’s mouth. The beast portrayed with a single horn, bushy tail, bulging eyes, sharp fangs and the inevitable jingle bell suspended from its neck.

Provenance: From a private estate.
Condition: Remnants of gilding and old lacquer, extensive wear and traces of use as expected on a bronze from this period, some minor dents. Overall fine condition.

中國,1368-1644。香薰蓋可拆卸,香霧通過神獸嘴中散逸。神獸獨角,尾巴濃密,眼睛凸出,大嘴中可見獠牙。

品相:鎏金和舊漆餘留,大面積磨損及使用痕跡,符合其年代,一些輕微 凹陷。整體品相良好。
