A TIBETAN THANGKA, 20TH CENTURY
Tibet. Depiction of the seven-eyed Sitatara on a lotus throne, wearing a magnificent tiara and sided by lotus flowers of which she holds the stems. Finely painted in tempera on canvas. Silk brocade mounting.
Condition: Very good condition with minimal wear, some soiling to brocade.
Provenance: An Austrian private collection, acquired in the region around 1950 and thence by descent.
Dimensions: The picture 31 x 21 cm. The thangka 67 x 47 cm.
