KOJIMA TOSHINAGA (JUEI): AN EXQUISITE IVORY NETSUKE OF BOKUDO WITH OX AND WOMAN

The group set on a base with singular himotoshi, the bokudo is gleefully playing on his flute while riding an ox, beside them a woman holds the reigns. The elaborate details are carved extraordinarily well with spots of fine honey patina shining through.

Condition: Very good condition.
Provenance: Private Japanese collection of Mrs. B. acquired at Ader Picard Tajan auction of March 1973 lot 277.
