The blade: Shinto. Shinogitsukuri with iorimune, formed like a naginata, no kissaki. Hamon notare midare with nie and nioi. With two narrow and short hi, long angel ubu with mei and one nagako-ana, yasurime sujikai, the end kurijiri. Mei (signature) reading Etchu Kami Fujiwara SADAYUKI. Very good condition. Sadayuki was active in Owari from about 1658 – 1688. The mounting: A very small, oval and blackened tsuba, the blackening continued on seppa and hibaki. Saya coated with black lacquer (notches).
