Naga composed in two sections, whose body forms a ring, in which its typical arched shield is inserted, presenting here an impressive size and also beautiful curved design. In contrast, the cobra´s head is eccentrically small with grommets on the mouth. On the top is a lotus bud. Naga are regionally worshipped as divine creatures, for deities they form protective canopies, and there are Naga kings. They are worshipped as symbols of fertility and also of immortality – because they cast their skin and shed “mortality“, good old patina.
