Trapezoid, largely openwork jade elaborately worked with the same design on both sides. The amulet functions as a protective charm, characterized by the horned taotie mask dominating the jade’s faces, each flanked by two chilong dragons. The various ornamental features include alterations of spirals, some of them incised and shaped rather like checks. The green jade with hues of yellow calcified and is white in most areas, its condition otherwise outstanding.
