China, late Ming (1368-1644) to early Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 17th century

A rare, strikingly shaped bracelet with an interesting high relief around the outside. Many different animals are depicted, all quickly moving forward and all winged. One has the coat of a tiger, another the slender head of a deer or dog. They are all racing through a cliff landscape, that is, over tall cliff peaks in a breeze. The jade is green-gray in color and a large part of it is dark-brown.

Dimensions: DIAMETER 10.5 CM, HEIGHT 3.3 CM
Condition: Some corrosion on a small part of the edge, but, on the whole, very well-preserved.
