An ornately worked gau worked in silver with rich gilding and inlaid with many precious stones. The lid with a depiction of Yamantanka worked in lapis lazuli and other precious stones and the inside inlaid with Buddha Amitayus worked mostly in coral surrounded by scrolling vines and leaves worked meticulously in silver and turquoise stones. The inscription on the inside of the lid refers to ‘the ten powers that be’.
