A TIBETAN SILVER, CORAL, TURQUOISE, AMBER AND CARNELIAN NECKLACE AND AMULET
Tibet, late 19th – early 20th century.

The necklace is composed of differently shaped elements of silver, metal, amber, coral, turquoise and carnelian and is attached to a large silver amulet framed with turquoises and set with a prominent carnelian in the center. The carnelian is known as a stone of protection, protecting the owner from nightmares, stress and fatigue, with the ability to quench first and protect from fevers.
