A 14 CARAT ROSE GOLD RING WITH 0.05 CARAT DIAMONDS AND AN AMETHYST, 1930s
Austria, 1930s. Hallmarked “585” and with an illegible maker’s mark.

The ring band is crafted in the style of the famous Austrian goldsmith Erwin Paltscho and shows a fluted design all around and the top has a lobed oval shape, holding a large amethyst in a prong setting flanked on either side by two rose-cut diamonds, the diamonds with a total weight of approximately 0.05 carats.
