We are thrilled to present our latest Fine Japanese Art catalog, showcasing 524 lots across various categories. The first 367 lots are thoughtfully curated in our vibrant print catalog, available as a physical copy or to be viewed as a PDF online, showcasing Buddhist Art, Lacquer, Samurai Art, Metalware, Cloisonné & Ceramics and Paintings & Woodblock Prints. Lots 368 to 524 are featured in our online catalog and are entirely dedicated to Fine Okimono & Netsuke. All 524 lots will be sold during our continuous live auction starting at 10 am CET.

Among our highlights, lot 49 stands out—a masterful lacquer painting of a carp ascending a waterfall. This remarkable artwork graces the front cover of our print catalog, and was made by the Imperial Household artist Shibata Zeshin, often called ‘Japan’s greatest lacquerer’. Equally impressive is lot 327, an important ‘Bakemono No E’ emaki scroll featuring a total of 55 bakemono and yokai, painted vividly across 18 meters of scroll, with a portion prominently showcased on the back cover of our printed catalog.

We hope all enthusiasts of Fine Japanese Art will join us on Friday, 14 June for the Live Auction!
