† A WHITE-GLAZED BAG-SHAPED FLASK, LATE TANG DYNASTY
Lot 213 - HS1225
China, 10th century. Finely potted with generously rounded sides tapering to a short circular base, the vessel rises to a broad ridge at the top, supporting an arched handle that curves gracefully from the back of the body to a short upright cylindrical spout. Opposite the spout is a small fin-like projection with a notched edge. The surface is evenly coated with a smooth, lustrous ivory-white glaze, while the foot remains unglazed.
Provenance: From a private collection in Hong Kong, acquired in 1993. Christie’s Hong Kong, 7 December 2021, lot 3237 (part lot), sold for HKD 37,500 or approx. EUR 4,500 (converted and adjusted for inflation at the time of writing).
Condition: Good condition with ancient wear and typical firing irregularities, minor firing cracks, tiny nicks and dents, some dark spots, and pitting.

- Bidders must complete their due diligence and clarify all questions about the objects before the auction. After the auction, Zacke will not answer questions from bidders unless the purchase price has been paid in full. Of course, this does not apply to questions concerning shipping, insurance, customs, etc.
- A sale cancellation of any kind after the fall of the hammer is not possible. The only exception to this fundamental rule is our guarantee of authenticity [the Guarantee].
- A Guarantee Claim, however, can only be raised after the purchase price has been paid in full by the buyer and within 45 days after the auction day.
